About us

Silver Song Clubs are regular sessions of singing and music making for older people and, where appropriate, their carers. Over 1500 older people attend a Silver Song Club.

How we started

The Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health was started in 2004 and Sing for Your Life was formed to deliver its programmes. Its purpose was to further the research done by Canterbury Christ Church University and to improve the quality of life for mature adults.

As we have grown over the years we have seen the positive impact of our music making sessions last long after session finishes.
